Paddleboarding the confluence

Had a freebie day off today, the second in as many weeks 🙌, & chose to spend it first by staying up way late the night before watching UFC [mostly dozing then waking up around 5am while the main event started], snoozing until a bit after 10, then sunscreening myself & grabbing essentials for paddleboarding w/ mi muy bien madre.

We chose to revisit Confluence State Park, where a brief journey down the Columbia provides a gentle outlet, a small galapagos of islands, interspersing into the Wenatchee River as it feeds all-into its eastern mouth.

Paddles up as we cruise in seated positions, taking it easy.

Hola, seated w/ bridges in the background among the Wenatchee River.

Bit shallow out here today in spots.

Made a point to cross the Wenatchee River by watercraft. 🙌 Touched the other side, returned for next route.

We strode forward under the walking bridge, noticing clusters of nests attached, curious the builders.

Under one, & 2, 3, & 4 in the background.

Returned to dry land for shady leisure, lunch, & Seahawks before choosing to rain-check mowing due to scorching heat (over 100).

Great day! Now laundry, sports, relaxation, & preparation for work in the morn. 🙏

Also some pics from last night to edit after a drive up the hills for the extra-dark, ‘black moon’ sky, which presented Saturn & some individual star-shots. ✨ Coming soon.
