Locals awoke this morning to see a tell-tale beam of orange, almost violet sunlight peering in, indicating a growing smog of wildfire smoke filling the skies.
Stepping out of doors confirmed it, w/ mountains barely visible & fog-like opacity noticeable even across the street. Along w/ the brazing heat, we can express gratitude for air-conditioning, fans, & at minimum windows if the others fail, which is somewhat counteracted by the smoke cough cough.
Employees & citizens maintain their cool as they carry on anyway, admiring the orange-tinted moon once night came upon.
Barbecues were tried, & when ignition failed, flank steaks brought to oven for culinary perfection. 👌 A dinner graciously accepted, & thanked w/ home-improvement assistance. Go team!
