The sun & moon’s regularity is surely where we get 7 days in a week (quarter lunar cycles) & 365 days in a (solar) year. Each transit between tropics, the sun making the traverse annually, while the moon, go figure, monthly, while simultaneously being ‘lapped’ by the sun every 29.5 days (thus the phases). If you make an analog clock 24 hours, & attach a sun to the small hand, that’s about right, & fittingly, hours is horas which is Horus, the Egyptian god of the sun. Lastly, you northerners can count on the moon culminating (directly south) at midnight (adjusting for DST) whenever it’s full, & basically the opposite when new, at noon. 😎
