Day 11: Azimuth

For Wenatchee looking south, the sun will reliably be at its highest in the sky (∠66º) on June 21st, while it’ll be at its lowest (∠19.2º) on Dec. 21st, thereabouts. In the meantime, it’ll slowly climb in altitude through spring & will be heading back, away from us, in fall, when its spiral has widened & it’s ‘out’ further. The moon does this journey monthly*, & you can watch it raise & lower in FORTNIGHTS (fourteen nights) while varying its phases depending on the sun’s place on the track. ☀️🌗
