Badger Moon Shoot

Local man gathers his new camera & tripod & heads to the mountain, hoping to catch sight of Mars w/ his new super-zoomy lens [Nikon P1100 👍👍👍]. First, he sits down & dials in his settings, figuring out manual & a few other adjustments, & gets everything charged up & out he goes.

Dusk lingered around for much of the drive, taking me to the T-intersection at Waterville Rd, so turned around & headed back, catching sight of the GLORIOUS moon right out my newly oriented window, covered by fluffy clouds w/ lotsa sky showing, stars a-plenty.

My beloved truck had a Maintenance Required light come on, giving me some worry as I rolled the hills waiting for the right place to present itself for moon photography, when in sometime I detected a smell that convinced me to pull over & make sure everything looked ship-shape from the outside. Thankfully, things seemed good to go w/ the truck, & noticing the remoteness of the spot & the clearly visible moon, & granting the opportunity, I brought out the cam & got everything set up.

Success!

Will need to try again w/ a bit more prep to get Mars &/or other planets dialed in, though this moon was really excellent, & it surprised me to be through a cloud when I zoomed out, ha!

Pretty good zoom. 😂
