Local man wakes up, freshly packed for his cross-state trip, ready for the day. Indulging in some morning coffee, verifying plans, & checklisting errands, he is straight up excited for the opportunity to get out there & get after it.
Shipping just-sold vinyls, having mechanics peek at potential issues again before taking the truck over mountain passes, & stocking up on supplies are priorities before going west, ferrying over to the peninsula & having a gander at all there is to see, from long-stretches of ocean via Dungeness Spit [should be able to see ships at great distance w/ zoomy lens as well as nearby islands, Victoria, Whidbey, etc.], camping by the beach at or near Kalaloch, & tomorrow traveling into the Hoh Rainforest to really immerse myself in natural beauty, an impressively quiet place to be, wherein I’ll be hiking & peering for Mount Olympus.
So good! All prayers for safe travels, reliable vehicles, operating ferries, & a blessed time. 🙏 Should have lots of pictures when I get back. ✌️
UPDATE:
Popped by home real fast to use a clean bathroom before departing, & downloading a playlist on Spotify in case I’m without service & want those tunes.
Pre-trip safety check passed gloriously, & otherwise truck is running good, so hoping for the very best.
All love, people.
