Locals wake to overcast, warm weather, & eventual gusts of wind & evening rain. The holiday produced many closed businesses, giving many like myself welcome vacation from jobs, taking in what there is to get. Domestic upkeep was conducted, making time to grab a basketball & pump, as well as backup shoes for plan B, as in-mind court was driven by to see occupance, so instead a hike was routed for, giving the body much-needed exercise someway. Mothers w/ new barbecues invited sons for dinner, grilling flank steak w/ charcuterie, main courses, dessert, & beer ready for indulgence. Adios was said, & home was returned to, readying self for work & martial arts tomorrow. 💪
For the climb, conditions were excellent, & snakes were elusive to scanning eyes, probably fortunately, as rattlers are the common resident of these trails & mountain come spring & summer.
