The valley was granted a most glorious, hot summer day, w/ a light haze of particulate in the sky, a respite considering previous seasons (thick smoke, ash…), w/ skins getting tanned, while others can say they have officially recovered from fortnight-ago burns, peeling complete, w/ lawn being mowed, hat applied. 🥵 Families got together for weekly breakfast, alternating restaurants & finding a patio for good food & coffee, before the heat set in. 😎 Cats were stirred from their slumber, taking their time to join the humans on the lawn, eating grass until hurling in the gardens, basically normal behavior, apparently worth it. Dirt was rolled in, trees were climbed, & in was sauntered to, bashfully accepting a minnow treat, w/ daint. 🐈⬛ Yards were trimmed & adios was said, returning home for predictive investing & game programming. Cooking shifts were attended, audiences tuned to World Cup finals, w/ Spain besting Argentina to become champs 👏; staying helpful & thorough, heading out to see Venus & a waxing crescent moon a quarter-sky apart, prominent. 💡 Couches are now sat upon, w/ muted sports, hoppy beverage, & entertaining podcasts in-ear, whiling away the evening, ready for another week. 🙌
Neighbors could be heard celebrating in conversation of their vacations, a true blessing to have, & worth cheering.
