Aspirant sunrise hiker foiled by smoke

With alarms stirring local man from bed for Fajr (first light) prayer, & subsequent alertness, giving wind to the notion of a Saddlerock climb to coincide with “the rosy fingers of dawn,” a brief peek out the window & confirming weather report kiboshed the idea. A rain check where rain would be preferred, ha!

Friday now hands us a pleasant morning here in Wenatchee, w/ summer producing heat & conditions that would otherwise invite recreation, instead sealing from breath-troubling haze as wildfires relocate forests & structures across the state in particulate form. 🙏 So it goes…

Opportunities for new endeavors present themselves, w/ Jumu’ah scheduled midday, a fly-call essentially to wander into Centers for communal worship.

Pigeons could be seen snoozing in their makeshift balcony nest (floor), mere feet away from apartment-dwellers’ own sleeping quarters, a kind of funny quirk, & tentatively welcome w/ requisite cleanup, as they tend to mess. 💩 Symbols of peace, salaam.
