The day started w/ the pouring in of golden light, signaling morning. Coffee was sipped, whiling away the time before shaving face & heading to get the ears lowered. 💈 Trucks were washed, ensuring the oncoming drizzle. 🌧 Milkshakes were purchased, having a walk along the river in a now regular occurrence, getting home in time to watch UFC. 🙌 Lord of the Rings + Silmarillion books were ordered, adding literary excellence to any clear space on the shelf. Late evening food was picked up, snacking before making tea, updating websites, & lounging into the night, music in-ear.
Thinking about old friends & mentors lost has left the heart heavy, appreciating w/ gratitude the beauty of knowing people. 🙏
