The day started smoothly, w/ a cat resident making itself at home, snuggling & staying close, using claws plentifully (yet to be damage-causing, just sharp). Purring & playing became the norm, while being stashed in the bathroom during human departure, safe to itself & environment, w/ carrier, water, & litter available. 👍 Son ventured across town to pick up mother for weekly restaurant breakfast, delighting in sweets, savory, & coffee. The pet store was visited on the way to see the kitten, bringing an impressive haul back to the apartment, where all was well, then journeyed to her house for hedge-trimming before it snows. Goodbye was said, & Gus was let out, having slept apparently, & gratefully shat after feeding, proving bowels are moving. 🙌 Work was attended, returning home 6 hours later w/ the same condition, getting right to cuddling & being feisty. Like an infant, he prefers contact, & settles down fast, barely leaving my side.
A little feline house replaced the transport box, giving him a shadowy & familiar place to chill when he’s alone, until he’s allowed to wander freely. His grandma bought him a stuffed toy to curl up w/ for additional love. 💝
