A conversational & productive work shift was carrying about, returning from a granted step-away for haircut purposes, when quite suddenly, the lights & electronics turned off. Employees assessed the situation, checking PUD maps, & decided to call it a day & post the closed sign, granting a couple extra hours before job #2, which was spent sitting in an also dark apartment, futilely attempting to turn the TV on before cracking a book. Beeps & fans announced the reconnection, illuminating the minutes before departure, grateful. Clocking in was followed by effective cooking & preparation where needed, followed by clocking out & home-driving, which allows a reprieve of sumptuous leisure.
Recently bought snacks are consumed w/ glee, as sugar enters body through mouth.
Wind was noticeable, as warm air blows into the valley, dotted by rain.
